Nearly 150 billion to build more than 2km of road connecting Van Phong transit port

TPO - Khanh Hoa will invest nearly 150 billion VND to build a road connecting Van Phong International Transit Port (phase 2). The road project is over 2.4km long, 34m wide and has a design speed of 80km/h.

On September 17, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council announced that it had just approved a resolution on the investment policy for the Van Phong International Transit Port traffic project (phase 2).

Specifically, the Van Phong International Transit Port Road Project (Phase 2) will invest in the remaining section of the Van Phong International Transit Port Road according to the planning with a length of more than 2.4km, a roadbed width of 34m and a design speed of 80km/h. The project has a total investment of more than 147.3 billion VND, the implementation period is in the period of 2024 - 2027 and is invested by the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board.

The project's objective is to connect traffic throughout Van Phong International Transit Port to National Highway 1, contributing to gradually completing essential traffic infrastructure in the area according to the approved plan to attract investment, develop socio-economy, improve people's lives, and ensure national defense and security in the area.

Previously, in October 2022, the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Van Phong International Transit Port Road Project Phase 1. The project starts at the intersection with National Highway 1 to Dam Mon, and ends at the boundary of Bac Van Phong General Port, with a length of more than 5.2 km and a total investment of more than VND 292 billion. Currently, the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board is making efforts to speed up the progress to complete the project by the end of this year.
