FPT awards 1 million USD for AI products contributing to the country

The $1 million prize is the largest in Vietnam for an award in the field of artificial intelligence. This award honors AI products and solutions developed by Vietnamese people. The awarded products must create breakthroughs for the socio-economy and bring sustainable positive impacts to the community.

According to FPT, the program will take place for 3 consecutive years from 2026. Au Lac AI Alliance will take on the role of sponsor for this award. The professional council includes leaders, experts, businesses and the domestic and international technology community.

In addition to the prize money, the winning individuals and organizations will receive advice from FPT. They will also be supported to connect to expand their influence domestically and internationally through the Au Lac AI Alliance.

"We believe that Au Lac Grand Prize is a driving force to motivate all individuals and organizations in society to develop and apply powerful AI together," said Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh added that this award is also a call to encourage the scientific community, businesses and young generation of Vietnam. The goal is to join hands to create artificial intelligence for the sustainable development of the country.

"Hopefully, the award will become a symbol of creativity and dedication, bringing Vietnamese AI to the world," said the FPT chairman.

FPT is one of the pioneering companies in AI research and development in Vietnam. AI is currently identified as one of the five pillar technologies in FPT's long-term development strategy, alongside semiconductors, automotive software technology, digital transformation and green transformation.

The group also owns a team of more than 1,000 engineers and AI experts, along with 2 artificial intelligence factories in Vietnam and Japan with NVIDIA.

Last June, FPT initiated the establishment of the Au Lac AI Alliance, bringing together more than 20 leading technology corporations, research institutes and universities.
