Previously, this tournament has received a lot of criticism from famous coaches and football experts. Jurgen Klopp, former Liverpool coach, said that the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is "the worst idea ever put forward and applied in football".
However, Klopp's comment was immediately responded to by coach Arsene Wenger. The former Arsenal coach analyzed: "I feel the Club World Cup is necessary. If you survey the participating clubs, 100% will answer that they want to participate in this tournament again. That is the clearest answer about how clubs evaluate the Club World Cup."
European representatives make a fortune from participating in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. ESPN estimates that 12 European teams will receive a total of $623 million from FIFA, while the remaining 20 teams will only share a prize money of $377 million .
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final between PSG and Chelsea takes place at 2am on July 14.
