“Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025” is expected to last from October 31 to November 9.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to be the unit in charge of implementation and coordinate with the Center for Conservation of Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage; Department of Tourism and related units to organize the Art Program with the theme "Heritage - Connection - Era" scheduled from October 31, 2025 to November 9, 2025 at the following locations: Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street (Main stage at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and secondary stage at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden area, along with performance activities on Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street); Thang Long Imperial Citadel; Hanoi Museum; Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam; Son Tay Ancient Citadel Walking Street; Red River Stone Beach with a scale of about 10,000 participants.

The key content of the program will include: Heritage Festival at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square Stage and around Hoan Kiem Lake walking street. Heritage connection exhibition and Hanoi Puppetry Festival expanded at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square Stage and around Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi Museum, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.

Red River International Music Festival at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square Stage and around Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Red River Stone Beach. Masquerade Ball “Connecting Heritage” at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square Stage and around Hoan Kiem Lake walking street.

Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival in Son Tay town and art performances at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square Stage and around Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi Museum, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam and Red River Stone Beach.

The Department of Culture and Sports is the standing agency that provides overall advice and organizes the implementation of the Program's contents; advises the City People's Committee to issue a Program organization plan. At the same time, it is responsible to the City People's Committee for the content, overall scenario, procedures, and order to ensure quality, progress, and compliance with regulations.

The Department also guides and directs the city's press agencies to provide information and propaganda on mass media, foreign information pages, general electronic information, social networking platforms; and the basic information system about the "Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025" to ensure practicality and effectiveness.

The Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center presides over the development of the script, organizes the staging, rehearsals and performances of the play "Kinh Do Thang Long" using 3D Mapping technology at Doan Mon Square; presides over and coordinates with departments, branches and units to ensure conditions regarding location, security, order, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, power source, healthcare, etc. to serve the performance of the play "Kinh Do Thang Long" and the performances of domestic and international guests.
