Storm No. 2 (Prapiroon) will make landfall in the Quang Ninh - Hai Phong area from about 5-7am today (July 23). From today to tomorrow, the North and Thanh Hoa will have heavy rain. The center of the rain is the Northeast region with 100-200mm, some places over 300mm. The Northwest and Thanh Hoa will have 50-100mm of rain, some places over 200mm. Hanoi may have 100mm of rain.

Northwest
Morning moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places have very heavy rain. Light wind. During thunderstorms, there may be tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees, some places below 23 degrees. Highest temperature 28-31 degrees.
Northeast
In the morning, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. North to northwest wind level 3-4, coastal areas gradually strengthening to level 4-5, especially coastal areas in Quang Ninh - Hai Phong area may be affected by strong winds level 7, areas near the storm center level 8, gusting to level 10-11.
Lang Son, Bac Giang , Thai Binh, Nam Dinh areas have strong winds of level 5-6, some places level 7, gusting to level 8-9. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind may appear. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees, mountainous areas have places below 23 degrees. Highest temperature 27-30 degrees.
Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue area
In the North, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places, especially in Thanh Hoa, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain in some places; in the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening. West to southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there may be tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 31-34 degrees, some places above 34 degrees.
Da Nang – Binh Thuan
In the South Central region, there will be clouds, showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there may be tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature 32-35 degrees.
Central Highlands
Showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening). Southwesterly winds level 2-3. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may occur. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees. Highest temperature 26-29 degrees, some places above 29 degrees.
Southern Vietnam
Weather in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the Southern region has showers concentrated in the afternoon and evening. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there may be tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees.
Highest temperature 30-33 degrees, some places over 33 degrees.
Hanoi area
Cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. North to northwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts may appear. Lowest temperature 24-26 degrees, highest temperature: 28-30 degrees.
