Tran Anh Minh (grade 12, Ngoc Hoi High School, Thanh Tri, Hanoi ) shared that at this point, he was a bit worried about Literature because this is not his strength while the exam questions will be based on materials not in the textbook, meaning there are no "model essays". However, Minh's university entrance exam group does not include Literature, so he did not put too much pressure on himself in this subject but mainly studied the types of exercises that the teacher instructed in class and spent most of his time improving his scores in Math, Physics, and English.
“The new point of the exam is the practical problems, but I am not too worried because during the learning process, teachers pay a lot of attention to giving real-life situations for us to get used to and improve our reading comprehension skills. During this time, I mainly do the exercises and correct the mistakes I often make to gain experience, not getting bogged down in too difficult problems with the goal of doing them well, not losing points on easy questions and trying to do well on difficult questions,” Minh expressed.
Currently, many schools have finished the centralized review for students at school while some high schools said that they will officially end the review until June 20. However, whether studying at home or at school, students always receive help from subject teachers. Mr. Nguyen Duc Ky - Vice Principal of Han Thuyen High School ( Bac Ninh province) said that teachers are always enthusiastic, taking the opportunity to review for students whether at school or through online platforms. Not only reviewing lessons from basic to advanced, all questions from students are also given priority by teachers to help them develop their full potential and achieve the highest exam results.
This year's final review period for grade 12 is also the first year of implementing Circular 29 with new regulations on extra teaching and learning, so in addition to the accompanying and guiding role of the school and teachers, candidates all improve their self-study and self-review spirit.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nguyen - English teacher of Hocmai education system noted that with the new exam format, candidates' studying and reviewing also need to change. In this countdown to the exam date, candidates can choose the exam questions close to the sample questions of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and do the test with a timer, in about 50 minutes to train themselves to be at their "peak performance" in the real exam. Always remember to check all the answers carefully, review the wrong answers or answers that you are not sure of. Take notes and remember the problems that arise. For the reading comprehension part, it is necessary to carefully translate the entire paragraph to be able to answer the questions correctly.
Regarding Literature, Ms. Pham Thi Lich - Dao Duy Tu High School (Thanh Hoa City) said that from now until the exam, students should focus on systematizing knowledge instead of studying widely. Along with that, it is necessary to maintain good health, positive spirit, avoid comparing scores with friends and believe in yourself. Families need to accompany and encourage candidates with a positive spirit so that they can firmly overcome challenges.
2025 is the first year that the high school graduation exam is organized according to the 2018 General Education Program. The exam not only tests pure knowledge, but also emphasizes students' ability to apply. Therefore, in addition to mastering the knowledge and skills according to the program, experts note that candidates need to pay special attention to the ability to relate to practice to achieve the best results.
