Everywhere I surf, I see nonsense humor from Veo 3
Recently, social media users, especially TikTok, have been constantly encountering “comedy” videos created by the Veo 3 tool. Although most of them are entertaining, many of the contents have begun to deviate from the norm and cause controversy.
“Every time I open TikTok, I see funny videos with familiar motifs, such as an old woman carrying a pig to sell because she eats a lot and sleeps a lot,” Huyen Mai (20 years old) shared.

Mai shared that similar videos appeared more and more, making her start to feel uncomfortable and think that these videos were just for "view baiting" and did not bring any value to viewers.
Mai said she has encountered negative or offensive videos on her news feed many times: "Many TikTok channels create videos about fictional situations to real-life stories that incorporate obscene, offensive elements and false information just to attract views."

Similar to Huyen Mai's story, Hoang Anh (20 years old) also expressed his frustrations recently. He said that Veo 3 brings very realistic images and content, many videos are created with interesting and entertaining content.
But after a while, he gradually noticed that videos with a tendency to be "negative" and "shocking to attract views" appeared more often instead of focusing on positive values.
“A student stood up and cursed, that was one of the videos created by Veo 3 that I watched recently. I wondered why social networks have such offensive content, especially during the period of extremely important exams,” Hoang Anh confided.

More worryingly, some videos use images of characters and children's voices to say sensitive, unethical lines, but still attract thousands of interactions from the online community.
In addition, many Veo 3 users also create situations to promote deviant behaviors under the guise of purely entertaining content.
Typically, some applications and websites such as gambling and betting blatantly create promotional videos for viewers, secretly spreading them openly under the guise of "entertainment videos".
The door to many consequences
It is undeniable that the development of AI video generation tools like Veo 3, while bringing great potential to the content production sector in many stores and businesses, also opens a "door" leading to virtual consequences in real life.
This raises questions such as “Can adults or children distinguish between videos created by AI?” and “How will these offensive videos affect children’s perceptions?”

Not only for entertainment purposes, many experts have warned about the potential risks of "deviant" content created by AI. These products, when spread at a dizzying speed on social networks, can make the elderly or children passively receive them and easily be negatively affected.
Social media platforms are currently facing a major challenge in content censorship, because with just a few simple steps, anyone can create a series of videos with deviant content, even promoting offensive, depraved or illegal behavior.
Not only does it pose potential risks regarding content, accessing and using Veo 3 in Vietnam is also causing many consequences. Because Google has not officially supported this tool in the domestic market, along with the high fees ($20/month for a Pro account, $250/month for an Ultra account), many technology enthusiasts have found ways to "overcome the barrier" by using VPN, buying floating accounts or declaring fake information.
Many of them have become victims of "chicken herding" tricks such as advertising cheap Veo 3 accounts, allowing them to use freely, with unlimited features.

Many bad guys have taken advantage of the need to access Veo 3 to scam, asking buyers to transfer money first and then quickly "disappear" without a trace.
Notably, some people even accept to register Veo 3 accounts using the customer's Gmail address at a "super preferential" price. However, this is actually an act of exploiting a loophole in Google's policy, potentially risking the account being permanently locked, meaning losing access to emails, documents and all related personal data.
Technology is not flawed
In fact, no AI platform is designed to generate negative content or serve abusive behavior. The consequences come from how people use the tool, which means that the user's awareness and responsibility are the deciding factors.
Dr. Nguyen Van Son, lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi ), commented: “I highly appreciate the positive values that artificial intelligence is bringing. If used properly, AI can make many practical contributions to society and the community.”
However, according to him, problems arise when technology falls into the hands of people with unhealthy motives. “At that time, AI becomes an effective tool to support negative behaviors, even amplifying bad impacts on society,” Dr. Son warned.
From there, he called on users, especially young people, to proactively raise their awareness and responsibility when approaching and applying AI, aiming to create quality, civilized content instead of spreading trashy, offensive products.

In addition, Dr. Nguyen Van Son also believes that one of the long-term strategies to limit ethical violations in the use of AI is to approach it from an educational perspective. According to him, raising awareness, helping users understand personal responsibility and building an ethical foundation when using technology is a key factor contributing to the formation of a civilized digital community.
Not only stopping at warning about "spam" content, many experts have repeatedly raised the issue of potential dangers from generative AI tools, especially the ability to create videos, which can become a source of large-scale disinformation.
“The tech industry has spent years dealing with the dangers of deepfakes. But the emergence of increasingly advanced AI video tools is a clear warning that policing content generated by AI, and subsequently AGI, will only get harder,” said Connor Leahy, CEO of Conjecture.
Sharing the same view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang - CEO of Pisa Solutions Company Limited - emphasized the importance of critical thinking in the context of increasingly superior AI.
“We are not only users of AI, but also recipients of a wide range of AI-generated content. In addition to using tools ethically, each person needs to practice the ability to perceive information from multiple perspectives, because there are currently many videos created by AI that appear authentic but secretly promote false content,” Ms. Trang shared.
