Baidu has officially introduced MuseSteamer, a new artificial intelligence (AI) model capable of creating short videos from still images, targeting business users in the fields of media, advertising and digital content. This tool is currently integrated on the HuiXiang platform - an AI ecosystem for businesses developed by Baidu.
MuseSteamer can create a video of up to 10 seconds in Full HD resolution from just one input image. The AI model will analyze the image content, creating a video with simulated movements such as panning, changing frames, lighting and depth. The product is aimed at needs such as producing product introduction videos, internal communications, training or displaying on digital platforms.

MuseSteamer currently comes in three versions: Turbo, Pro, and Lite, each aimed at a different group of business users with distinct performance and processing requirements. Baidu is offering a free trial of the Turbo version initially. The Lite and Pro versions are expected to launch next quarter, adding advanced audio features, effects, and the option to integrate more deeply with a business's internal systems.
Unlike AI tools like OpenAI's Sora, which are aimed at consumers with a paid subscription, MuseSteamer is built specifically for businesses and currently has no consumer version, a clear move by Baidu to serve content creation needs on a more professional and practical scale.
Along with MuseSteamer, Baidu has also significantly upgraded its search engine system. New features include a redesigned search box, support for longer queries, voice search, and image search. The system uses next-generation AI algorithms to increase accuracy, providing results that are closer to the user's context and purpose.
These improvements will help improve the search experience, making it more responsive and efficient in a digital environment. The search engine upgrade comes as Baidu faces increasingly fierce competition from domestic rivals such as Doubao (ByteDance) and Yuanbao (Tencent) – two AI chatbot platforms that are thriving in China.
In addition to MuseSteamer, Baidu also recently announced two new AI models, including an upgraded platform model from the previous version and Ernie X1 – a reasoning-focused model designed to handle more complex thinking tasks. Along with that, Ernie Bot, Baidu's prominent AI chatbot, has been opened to free access for users, and Ernie version 4.5 is now available through the company's chatbot platform.
