To link members to develop production, business, and increase income, Hoang Dong Agricultural Service Cooperative, Hoang Thanh Commune has promoted trade promotion activities, market research, selected to participate in the production and consumption chain of goods, and increased the value of products for members. The Cooperative has established a service system to serve members according to the product value chain, from input services, monitoring of care and protection processes to output markets for products. Every year, the Cooperative signs contracts with businesses to supply, lend money for seeds, fertilizers, transfer technology, and directly purchase agricultural products from farmers. Every year, the Cooperative signs a contract with An Viet Food Company Limited with an output of 800 to 1,000 tons of potatoes, creating regular jobs for 40 workers, with an income of about 8 million VND/person/month. Thanks to that, the cooperative's policy of association and large-scale production is supported by member households and people.
Currently, the province has 857 cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector. To support member cooperatives to improve their operational efficiency and attract more members to participate, the Provincial Cooperative Union has implemented many solutions to implement the Agricultural Restructuring Project and the project to support the construction of production cooperatives associated with the value chain of the Vietnam Cooperative Union, such as: training and fostering to improve the management level, organizing and operating production of cooperatives, guiding the implementation of support policies to build production cooperative models associated with the value chain of key commodities. At the same time, to promote production and business linkage models according to product value chains, every year, the Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated to organize for cooperatives to attend conferences and seminars between enterprises and cooperatives inside and outside the province. Up to now, the province has about 150 agricultural cooperatives participating in linkages according to the processing - consumption chain of agricultural products.
Many cooperative models operate effectively according to the production method associated with the value chain and high-tech application. Typically, such as: Thieu Hung Agricultural Service Cooperative, Thieu Hoa commune, cooperated with Lam Son Sugarcane Joint Stock Company, invested in building greenhouses and net houses on an area of 4.1 hectares to grow Kim Hoang Hau melon (Kim Hoang Hau melon products of the cooperative were recognized as meeting 4-star OCOP standards and built 20 hectares of vegetable growing areas according to VietGAP standards, the cooperative's annual revenue 26 billion VND); the production linkage model of growing Phalaenopsis orchids and 7,000 m2 of greenhouses growing cucumbers and Kim Hoang Hau melons of Dinh Tho Agricultural Cooperative, Luu Ve commune; the land accumulation model of 81 hectares of sugarcane growing raw materials for Viet Dai Sugar Factory of Thanh Long Agricultural Service Cooperative, Thach Binh commune; Model of linking members, farmer household growing tea trees on an area of 30 hectares and producing high-quality OCOP tea products, achieving revenue of 2.5 billion VND/year of Binh Son Agriculture and Forestry Cooperative, Tho Binh commune; model of cooperative linking consumption and supply of seeds, materials, agricultural machinery, land preparation services, product consumption for members, at the same time building warehouses, showrooms, selling products of Phu Loc Agricultural Cooperative, Hoa Loc commune... Models of production linking and consumption of agricultural products help increase productivity, quality of crops and livestock, increase product value and gradually increase income for farmers. In fact, when participating in the value chain, production and business costs of cooperatives are reduced by 5-8%, members' income increases by 20-25%, bringing many benefits to members.
In the coming time, the Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to promote guidance and consultation for member cooperatives in developing raw material areas, organizing production, processing, preserving and consuming products. Strengthen coordination with all levels, sectors and localities in mobilizing members to participate in collective economic organizations and cooperatives. Along with that, cooperatives are also proactive in seeking markets, linking with businesses and people to form and develop value chains of agriculture, forestry and fishery products from production, processing to consumption, contributing to the development of agriculture in the direction of improving productivity, quality, efficiency and sustainability. Thereby, affirming their role as a strong "bridge" in the production and consumption of agricultural products between people and businesses.
