Vinamilk Net Zero forest in Ca Mau attracts many flocks of birds to grow

Báo Tuổi TrẻBáo Tuổi Trẻ15/06/2024

After less than 10 months of implementation, the Vinamilk Net Zero forest in Mui Ca Mau National Park has more than 71,000 mangrove trees, becoming a breeding ground for shrimp and fish and attracting flocks of terns and terns to nest.

This is a program to help regenerate 25 hectares of mangrove forest at the southernmost tip of the country, initiated by Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) together with Gaia Nature Conservation Center and Mui Ca Mau National Park from around August 2023. The Vinamilk Net Zero forest project helps absorb carbon, moving closer to the goal of bringing net emissions to zero by 2050, contributing to the common goal of Net Zero 2050 that the Vietnamese Government has been promoting. Regarding the regenerated mangrove forest, Mr. Nguyen Van Su - Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation of Mui Ca Mau National Park said that the density of regenerated mangrove trees in the Net Zero forest is quite thick. "With the current development speed, we believe that the 25 hectares of forest regenerated in cooperation with Vinamilk will soon be covered with green, faster than the original target," Mr. Su assessed. Let's admire the miraculous regeneration picture that the forest at Mui Ca Mau National Park brings, after nearly 10 months of implementation:
