On the evening of June 29, the opening ceremony of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III) officially took place in Da Nang City. Before the main event, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa - Director of the Department of International Cooperation and many distinguished guests met with the organizing committee, showing the attention and support of the management agencies for DANAFF and the efforts of this film festival in raising the position of Vietnamese cinema in the region.

Korean actress Moon So Ri appeared radiantly on the red carpet of DANAFF III with her husband - director Jang Joon Hwan. Besides the exchange activities, the star of the movie When Life Gives You a Tangerine will accompany filmmaker Jang - who is serving as the chairman of the jury of the Asian Film category competing at this year's film festival.

With the theme of Asian Bridge , the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival taking place from June 29 to July 5 is an opportunity to honor creative values, cultural diversity and the desire to connect with cinemas in the region. With more than 100 participating films and many new and attractive activities such as: film project market, exhibition of impressive scenes shot in Da Nang city, Korean cinema spotlight...
Following the success of the previous two editions, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival nurtures the idea of honoring Vietnamese and Asian cinema heritage, while discovering and creating opportunities to nurture young talent.
DANAFF III has two key programs: Imprints of Vietnamese films on the theme of war and Spotlight on Korean cinema. Of which, Imprints of Vietnamese films on the theme of war brings together 22 films.
"In addition to screening films so that you can enjoy works from the past 50 years, the audience will also meet film crews, artists... This is the first time such a large number of war films have been collected with today's perspective on the past 50 years of Vietnamese cinema," Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan shared.
