Binh Thuan: honoring traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnamese families

On July 11, in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, the opening ceremony of the 13th Southeast Family Festival in 2024 took place.

18 typical cultural families from 6 provinces and cities in the region including: Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and Binh Thuan attended the 13th Southeast Family Festival in 2024.

The 13th Southeast Family Festival took the theme "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation", affirming that family is the place where people originate, nurture, educate... so that people can grow up, therefore each good family is a good society, a good nation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed: "We are living in an era where the rapid development of technology and society has brought many opportunities but also many challenges. Vietnamese families are no exception to that trend, facing many changes and challenges. In that context, preserving and promoting good traditional family values ​​becomes more important than ever."

According to the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the theme of “Happy Family - Prosperous Nation” of this year’s Southeast Family Day emphasizes the importance of family in building a strong nation. This is not only an opportunity for families to exchange and share experiences, but also an opportunity to look back at the precious traditional values ​​of Vietnamese families. At the same time, through that, together promote good values, adapt to the development and changes of modern society.

It is known that the 13th Southeast Family Festival will take place from July 11 to 13. The festival will feature many exciting activities, especially talent competitions for families such as: the sports competition "Playing with children"; the art performance competition "Talented families" and "Reading books with children"... During the festival, the Organizing Committee will also arrange a space to introduce and exhibit photos of "Family - Loving home"; and display OCOP products of localities.

After 13 years, the “Family Festival of the Southeast Provinces” has become an important annual event, attracting the active participation of families, agencies, organizations and the whole society. The exciting, rich and diverse activities have contributed to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people, and at the same time, it is also an opportunity to honor the traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnamese families. This festival has been raised in scale, from the initiative and coordination of the Southeast provinces to the regional scale organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province.
