Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong presents gifts to villages of Pa Thom commune.

Pung Bon is a particularly difficult village of Pa Thom commune. The village has 57 households with 266 people, mainly Cong ethnic people (accounting for 95%). Despite many difficulties, the cadres and people in the village always uphold the spirit of solidarity, strive to build a cultural life in the residential area. The material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved, the rate of poor households has decreased to 26.3%, near-poor to 29.8%; the rate of well-off and rich households accounts for 43.9%. The rural appearance is increasingly improving; the political security situation, social order and safety are stable; Pung Bon people are united, help each other, actively participate in campaigns and emulation movements. Currently, the whole village has 16 cultural households, 100% of households have access to clean water and hygienic toilets. Recently, the village had 4 households supported to build Great Solidarity houses and received support from officials and people in the village in terms of working days to build the houses, so all 4 households completed the house construction ahead of schedule as required.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong handed over Great Solidarity houses and gave gifts to poor households in Pung Bon village.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong acknowledged and commended the achievements that the people of Pung Bon village have achieved in the past year. Aiming at the goal of reducing the poverty rate, increasing the number of rich households, the village having no social evils, no lawbreakers, and the people's lives becoming more prosperous and happy, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the people in the village to further strengthen solidarity to join hands in building Pung Bon village to develop more and more. At the same time, continue to promote the implementation of patriotic emulation movements, improve the quality of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", build a new cultural lifestyle, and eliminate bad customs. Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong congratulated the people of Pung Bon village in particular and the people of Pa Thom commune in general, hoping that the people would unite and stick together to build a cultural residential area, have a prosperous life.

On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong presented gifts to Pa Thom commune and other villages in the area; and handed over a solidarity house to a representative of a poor household in Pung Bon village. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Lo Van Mung presented gifts to a number of poor households and prestigious people in Pung Bon village; leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command and Dien Bien District presented gifts to Pung Bon village.
