Ia Grai commune currently has 28 hamlets, villages, and residential groups, formed on the basis of merging 3 communes and towns (old) with a total population of 24,625 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 27.36%. The commune still has 344 poor households (of which 248 are ethnic minority households) and 417 near-poor households. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the number of poor households will decrease to 233 households.

The commune Party Committee has 126 subordinate Party organizations with a total of 2,369 Party members. In the initial period after the merger, the commune-level political system has basically operated stably, ensuring the full implementation of functions and tasks according to regulations. The assignment and arrangement of cadres has been carried out reasonably, helping professional fields to be deployed synchronously and effectively. People are better served, especially in areas such as civil status, land administration, social security policies, etc. The coordination between professional departments and socio-political organizations continues to be maintained, contributing to maintaining stability and promoting socio-economic development in the locality.

In the first days of operating the new model, local operations were basically stable, without any interruption in handling administrative procedures for people and businesses, contributing to the effective implementation of the tasks of the two-level government after the merger. On average, each day, the Commune Public Administration Service Center receives nearly 100 people coming to transact, mainly related to the fields of land, household registration, etc. All procedures are supported, guided, received and resolved promptly by staff.

From July 1 to July 8, 2025, the Center received a total of 150 records in the following areas: land, justice, civil status, business registration. Of these, 35 records have been resolved; 113 records are being processed according to regulations; 2 records were withdrawn by people. All records are digitized and fully updated on the electronic one-stop system.

In addition, the Center also received 26 social pension benefit applications, this is a newly announced procedure, without specific instructions, and has not been updated to the electronic one-stop system. Therefore, the applications are received in paper form and transferred to the specialized department for processing according to the procedure.

In addition to the initial results, representatives of local Party committees and authorities also pointed out a number of difficulties and problems; at the same time, they proposed and recommended to the Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation to direct specialized departments and branches to pay attention and consider allocating capital to continue implementing tasks in stages (2020-2025) and equipment for digital transformation.

During his visit and work in Ia Grai commune, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Standing Committees of the Party Committees of communes and wards in promoting their core leadership and direction in implementing the consolidation and arrangement of the (new) commune-level government apparatus into smooth and effective operation; especially in arranging the staff and civil servants to basically ensure the right people for the right job in accordance with the general direction of the Central Government and the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested that the locality urgently complete the draft documents of the Commune Party Congress to ensure progress in order to collect opinions from the grassroots and register the time to hold the congress. The congress documents must demonstrate the spirit of innovation, focus on collective intelligence and comprehensively assess the potential, strengths and development space of the locality; at the same time clearly identify difficulties and challenges to propose appropriate solutions, comprehensive leadership and direction in the new term. The Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee need to promote the spirit of responsibility, innovative thinking, close to the people, listen to the people's opinions and act with the highest determination to maximize the potential and strengths of the locality. Strive to complete the set targets, contributing to the province's common goal of double-digit growth.

Regarding poverty reduction, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that localities must assign specific tasks to cadres and party members, clearly analyze the causes of poverty and the causes of poverty reduction; conduct investigations and surveys, and grasp the situation of each household to have appropriate and effective solutions.

The Provincial Party Secretary assigned relevant departments and branches to fully absorb local opinions and recommendations to focus on resolving them, creating conditions for the locality to develop quickly and sustainably.

On the local side, continue to promote the effectiveness of the two-level local government model, improve the quality of administrative procedure settlement for people and businesses. The upcoming focus is to basically and completely resolve the issue of granting land use right certificates to people. In cases where people do not understand clearly, it is necessary to increase explanation and specific guidance.

At the same time, do a good job of ideological work among cadres and party members; improve leadership and management capacity. Each cadre and civil servant must grasp and effectively resolve the legitimate needs and aspirations of the people.
