Closing ceremony of the national culinary festival and Northwest tourism fair

The leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 1 collective and 1 individual with outstanding achievements in organizing the national culinary festival.

After 4 days of organization, the national culinary festival and the Northwest tourism fair in Dien Bien were a great success. With the theme "Glory of Dien Bien Phu - Endless experiences", the Northwest - Dien Bien tourism fair in 2024 gathered 60 booths displaying tourism products, gifts, traditional handicrafts and many OCOP products to serve the needs of tourists and local people. During the fair, the event attracted thousands of visitors to visit, trade and shop, bringing impressive revenue to participating businesses and localities.

This year's National Food Festival attracted the participation of more than 40 units from nearly 20 provinces and cities across the country and major travel and hotel companies. The event introduced hundreds of unique and diverse dishes from different regions, with the participation of talented chefs from localities such as Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Ho Chi Minh City and many provinces and cities across the country.

The representative of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism highly appreciated the coordination between the organizer and the businesses participating in the event, and affirmed the importance of the Northwest - Dien Bien culinary festival and tourism fair in 2024 in promoting tourism development, promoting the image of the beautiful land of Dien Bien; the friendly and hospitable people of Dien Bien to domestic and foreign tourists.

The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 groups participating in the Northwest - Dien Bien 2024 tourism fair.

The event also created opportunities for tourism businesses to link up to build, develop and enhance the value and quality of tourism products and services; artisans, experts, and chefs of hotels and restaurants in the industry had the opportunity to demonstrate, exchange, learn experiences, and improve their skills.

At the closing ceremony, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 1 individual with outstanding achievements in organizing the national culinary festival and 7 collectives participating in the Northwest - Dien Bien 2024 tourism fair. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 32 units, localities and enterprises participating in the Dien Bien National Culinary Festival 2024.
