Barcelona choose Rashford

Barcelona see Marcus Rashford as their final target for the left winger position, after failing in two deals for Luis Díaz and Nico Williams.

Rashford makes no secret of his ambition to play for Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo , the Catalan giants are ready to "go all out" to recruit the Manchester United player in the summer transfer window of 2025. Barcelona entered the summer transfer window of 2025 with the goal of strengthening their attack, especially in the left wing position, to reduce the load on Raphinha.

Initially, coach Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco's number one target was Nico Williams. However, the 22-year-old striker then shocked Barcelona by signing a new contract with Athletic Bilbao, leaving them stunned and angry.

Against this backdrop, Rashford has returned to the top choice. The English striker is currently also receiving support from Flick and Deco. Sky Sports revealed that Barcelona's board will do everything to own Rashford's signature, including meeting Manchester United's transfer requirements.

Barcelona could propose a loan deal with an option to buy, which would suit their financial situation. For Manchester United, this would ease their wage bill of nearly £17m a season and earn them a loan fee.

Currently, Rashford still comes to Carrington to practice but trains separately instead of joining his teammates at MU. He proactively asked for permission to return to Carrington to practice to maintain his fitness.
