Antony is staying at the hotel. |
The Sun reports that Antony has moved out of his Manchester mansion and is now staying in a hotel near the airport. Rooms at the four-star hotel cost around £130 a night, a pittance compared to his £200,000 a week salary at United.
This is a clear move showing that the Brazilian striker is about to leave MU to return to Betis to play in the 2025/26 season. Previously, Antony was informed by coach Ruben Amorim that he no longer has a future at Old Trafford, even though he still has a contract until 2027.
The Sun reports that Antony wants the talks between MU and Betis to be completed soon so that he can focus on the current season. The Brazilian striker is welcomed back to La Liga. In 26 games for Betis last season, he scored 9 goals and assisted 5, helping Manuel Pellegrini's team reach the Europa Conference League final.
On August 27, Antony also shared a remarkable status, implying that he was preparing to leave MU. "Pain makes you stronger. Fear makes you braver. Patience makes you wiser," Antony wrote.
MU prioritized selling Antony outright this summer. But after many unsuccessful negotiations, the "Red Devils" agreed to let the Brazilian striker leave on loan.
