According to Mr. Hoang, he first donated blood in 2013, when he was working as a Youth Union member at Xuan Dong Commune (now Binh Ninh Commune). At first, he thought of donating blood to support the movement, but then he realized that this was a humane and meaningful activity, contributing to saving the lives of patients. In particular, after donating blood, he felt better, so he has donated blood ever since. This activity has helped him make more friends and gain more experience, motivating him to donate blood more.

After working at the Commune Farmers' Association from 2016 to 2022, Mr. Hoang continued to donate blood whenever the Youth Union and the Commune Red Cross launched a campaign. Currently, he is working at the Provincial Social Work Center and continues to donate blood whenever there is a campaign.
To ensure a good blood supply for the next blood donation, Mr. Hoang regularly eats nutritious food and exercises to improve his health. Not only does he actively participate in blood donation, he is also an active propagandist, regularly encouraging members, union members, people, friends and family to participate in blood donation.
At first, many people were hesitant and reserved, but after he explained and promoted it, they all understood the positive side of HMTN as a good deed, not only helping patients, but also benefiting the health of blood donors.
Mr. Hoang shared that he personally hopes that anyone who is healthy and qualified should participate in donating blood to save lives. Donating blood not only helps others, but also helps oneself become more complete, contributing to making life more meaningful and better. With that same thought, for nearly 13 years, Mr. Hoang has donated blood 30 times for the Red Cross and the Youth Union and he is determined to continue his blood donation activities as long as his health allows.
With outstanding achievements in humanitarian blood donation activities, in 2022, Mr. Hoang was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the People's Committee of Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province) for his achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement. In 2025, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society for his outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation activities in 2025.
