Speaking at the event, Colonel Pham Kim Dinh said the tournament was held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
The tournament is chaired by the Ministry of Public Security, assigned to the Department of Political Affairs to organize, in coordination with functional units in the industry, the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association (CAND), the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Football Federation and Vietnam Television. T&T Group Joint Stock Company and SHB Bank are the main sponsors of the event.
“The Ministry of Public Security has carefully and systematically prepared for the tournament from professional work, logistics, communications, foreign affairs to security and medical care ... The goal is to organize a successful tournament, leaving an impression on international friends,” Colonel Pham Kim Dinh emphasized.
The representative of the main sponsor, Mr. Do Vinh Quang - Vice President of T&T Group, said that this is an event of great political significance, contributing to building the image of Vietnamese police officers as brave, disciplined, and friendly, while spreading the image of the country and Vietnamese people to international friends. With experience in professional sports socialization, T&T Group is committed to fully accompanying the Organizing Committee to make the tournament successful in all aspects.
From a professional perspective, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation shared: "The Federation is committed to working closely to ensure the tournament's management is transparent, fair and professional.
The matches will be attended by a team of experienced domestic and international referees who have participated in officiating many regional and continental tournaments. The team of match supervisors, coordinators and referee supervisors are also carefully selected to ensure that all stages of organization meet international standards.”
The tournament will take place from July 5 to 15 at two locations: Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi) and PVF Stadium (Hung Yen), with the participation of 8 teams. Of which, 5 teams are from ASEAN countries including Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Timor Leste and the guest team Australia. Host Vietnam has 2 participating teams: CAND Vietnam I and CAND Vietnam II.
The prize structure is attractive with the champion team receiving a Cup, Medal and 30,000 USD; the runner-up team receives 15,000 USD; the two third-place teams receive 10,000 USD each; the style prize is worth 5,000 USD. In addition, the organizing committee will also award many individual prizes such as Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Player with the most goals ...
Besides the matches, the Organizing Committee also organizes cultural and tourism activities to introduce the image of Vietnam and its people to international friends, including a tour of Ha Long Bay - a World Natural Heritage.
The 2025 ASEAN Public Security Football Tournament is not only an activity to celebrate major holidays of the People's Public Security Force, but also contributes to promoting the sports movement, improving health and team spirit in the force; at the same time affirming the image of the Vietnamese Public Security Force as a disciplined, elite and modern force.
More importantly, this is an opportunity for the Public Security Forces of ASEAN countries and international partners to enhance exchanges, understanding, strengthen solidarity, and jointly maintain peace, stability and cooperation in the region. Through the tournament, the image of a peaceful, friendly and hospitable Vietnam will continue to spread strongly in the international arena.
