Hundreds of people dressed in traditional costumes paraded through the old streets during Vietnamese New Year cultural activities on January 19.
On January 19, the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter organized the cultural program "Vietnamese Tet - Street Tet", opening with about 400 people wearing traditional costumes parading from the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu) through the relics and scenic spots around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Activities to raise awareness of the importance of preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural heritage values.
At the same time, the activity contributes to promoting trade, services, tourism and promoting the image of Hoan Kiem Lake area, the Old Quarter and Hanoi.
Many beautiful and radiant young women participated in the parade.
The parade consisted of hundreds of people wearing traditional ao dai, passing through the capital's buildings and heritage sites.
The parade performed Nghe dance and Senh Tien dance, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign tourists.
The trays of offerings were brought to Kim Ngan temple for the pole-raising ceremony.
Calligraphers wrote four Han Nom characters meaning "The Era of Rising" along with New Year wishes, and hung them on the pole with the wish for a prosperous country and a happy and prosperous people.
