Two Chinese-made aircraft will perform on Ha Long Bay

On the morning of February 27, at Van Don International Airport ( Quang Ninh ), COMAC coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to organize a program to introduce two aircraft manufactured in China.

At the program, Mr. Dam Van Canh, Chairman of COMAC Board of Directors, said that C919 and ARJ21 are the first two types of civil aircraft in China designed and manufactured by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China.

Among them, the C919 large passenger aircraft was researched and produced by China with intellectual property rights. To date, 4 aircraft have been delivered to the first customer, China Eastern Airlines, opening round-trip routes between Shanghai - Beijing, Shanghai - Chengdu, accumulating more than 2,600 safe flight hours, carrying more than 136,000 passengers and receiving positive reviews from customers.

The new generation jet aircraft ARJ21, researched and produced by China, has been delivered to 12 customers with a total of 127 aircraft, transporting over 11 million passengers, affirming the safety and reliability of the aircraft.

Notably, the two new generation ARJ21 jets delivered to the first foreign customer, Lion Air Indonesia, have operated safely for more than 3,000 flight hours, carrying more than 100,000 passengers.

The Chairman of COMAC Board of Directors also emphasized that the flight of Chinese commercial aircraft to Quang Ninh, Vietnam is an important step to promote the internationalization of Chinese civil aircraft, and is also another typical example of the extensive cooperation in the economic and trade fields between China and Vietnam.

As planned, with the permission of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, C919 and ARJ21 aircraft will depart from Van Don International Airport, opening a series of aircraft demonstration events in 5 Southeast Asian countries.

At the program, After the exhibition opening ceremony, delegates and guests will be able to visit the C919 and ARJ 21 aircraft. COMAC is expected to organize a display flights over Ha Long Bay. After that, the planes will be displayed at Van Don airport and then continue to move to other airports in Vietnam such as: Con Dao, Tan Son Nhat, Dong Hoi.
