The above information was just confirmed by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Victoria Inter-level School, the person authorized to temporarily manage the teaching and learning of Green Shoots International School (hereinafter referred to as Green Shoots School) - to VTC News today (September 19).

According to Mr. Huong, on September 11, Choi Xanh School moved to a new location and rented facilities from Victoria Inter-level School in Dien Ngoc Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam , to organize teaching activities.

After a week of reopening, Choi Xanh International School welcomed 17/95 students.

"After a week of reopening, Choi Xanh School welcomed a total of 17 students and is still waiting for the remaining students to return to class. Currently, some parents have transferred their children to other schools to temporarily study in the first semester and are expected to return to Choi Xanh School in the second semester," Mr. Huong added.

As reported by VTC News, Choi Xanh International School was established in 2014 by Choi Xanh VietnamEducation Company Limited as the investor.

The school rents land at 414/8/1 Cua Dai Street (Cam Chau Ward, Hoi An City) to serve as a teaching facility. The school is run by Ms. Catherine Clare Mckinley (52 years old, British nationality). The school teaches the British national education program (IPC, IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate program (IBD and IBDP).

From May to August 2023, the school will organize enrollment from kindergarten to high school for the new school year 2023-2024. According to the plan, students will return to school on August 22.

However, on August 8, parents were surprised to receive a notice from Ms. Catherine Clare Mckinley stating that she was no longer running Green Shoots. Students currently studying at the school would be transferred to an international school in Da Nang to continue their studies.

However, when parents contacted the international school in Da Nang, the school said that it did not receive tuition fees from Green Shoots and was therefore not responsible for accepting students. Meanwhile, the Green Shoots International School in Hoi An has closed and returned the premises.

A parent said the school organized enrollment and offered tuition fees ranging from 350-400 million VND/year, parents could pay monthly or quarterly. According to preliminary statistics, parents paid about 14 billion VND in tuition fees.
