TPO – My Thuan Project Management Board has directed units to work overtime and increase shifts to speed up construction progress, striving to complete the upgrade of Lo Te - Rach Soi route by June 2025.

On November 28, the My Thuan Project Management Board, Ministry of Transport (investor) announced that the Lo Te - Rach Soi route investment and upgrade project started last June. Since the start of construction, the area has entered the peak of the rainy season, which has affected the construction (the contractor can only work on days without rain).

Currently, the Mekong Delta region is entering the dry season, with little rain, so the investor has directed contractors to work overtime, increase shifts; add construction teams, speed up progress, strive to complete the project before June 30, 2025 (3 months ahead of the signed contract), ensuring quality.

The contractor is implementing 16 construction projects to upgrade the Lo Te - Rach Soi route.

To meet the planned progress, the contractor is implementing 16 construction projects, such as scraping and recycling old pavement layers, new asphalt pavement, constructing culverts, expanding emergency lanes... with 140 employees. Up to now, the cumulative construction output has reached about 52.3 billion VND ( 9.5% of the contract value ).

“The investor also requires units to regularly patrol and check damaged road surfaces for timely repairs to ensure traffic safety on the route,” said the leader of the My Thuan Project Management Board.

The project to upgrade the road surface of Lo Te - Rach Soi route has a total investment of about 750 billion VND, from the central budget, with the Ministry of Transport as the investor. The project started in June and is expected to be completed in June 2025.

Previously, the Lo Te - Rach Soi route phase 1 had a total length of 51km, a total investment of more than 6,300 billion VND, completed and put into operation in January 2021, but after less than 3 years of use, it was seriously damaged and had to be upgraded.
