Xuan Son's special Tet

I love everything here," Nguyen Xuan Son told Thanh Nien Newspaper on the afternoon of January 25, while preparing to welcome the new year with his family at his home in Nam Dinh.
After 3 weeks of treatment at Vinmec General Hospital ( Hanoi ), Xuan Son has returned home. The 28-year-old player received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from many fans. Since this morning, many young fans have come to Xuan Son's house and received lucky red envelopes from the player's wife Marcele Seippel.
Xuan Son received a certificate of merit from the leaders of Nam Dinh province.

While Xuan Son finished his personal projects, Marcele spent time decorating, cleaning the house and buying flowers for Tet. "My wife did everything. She cleaned and decorated the house to welcome spring fully," Xuan Son confided. The house of the striker who plays for Nam Dinh Club has been bustling with people since this afternoon, as many people wanted to meet and celebrate the new year with the star who has shouldered the Vietnamese team back to the top of Southeast Asia.
"This year is my fifth Tet in Vietnam. However, this year's Tet is more special because I am a true Vietnamese citizen. That is very meaningful to me and my family," Xuan Son added.

On the afternoon of January 25, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Dung and his delegation visited the home of national team player Nguyen Xuan Son. Mr. Dung presented a certificate of merit from the Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee to Nguyen Xuan Son for his outstanding achievements, contributing to helping the Vietnamese team win the AFF Cup 2024. In addition, Mr. Dung gave lucky money and wished the Vietnamese team player's family a happy new year.
Also this afternoon, representatives of Nam Dinh fans were present to give traditional Vietnamese New Year gifts, Chung cakes, to Xuan Son's family.

Xuan Son has played in Vietnam for 5 years, playing for Nam Dinh Club, Binh Dinh Club and Da Nang Club. Last season, he shined with 31 goals in the V-League, leading Nam Dinh team straight to the throne. Xuan Son obtained Vietnamese nationality in October 2024, then was named by coach Kim Sang-sik in the preliminary list for the 2024 AFF Cup.
Here, Xuan Son shone brightly with 7 goals against Thailand, Singapore and Myanmar, bringing the Vietnamese team to the throne.
