On November 25, some officials of Mai Trung commune, Hiep Hoa district ( Bac Giang ) confirmed that a person in the commune reported being drugged and "hypnotized" by subjects to take away a large amount of money.

Mr. NVC (born in 1963, in Noi Xuan village, Mai Trung commune, Hiep Hoa) reported to the local police that at around 9:00 a.m. on November 24, while he was home alone, two people (one male, one female) rode a motorbike into the house.

They introduced themselves as coming to take photos for Mr. C's family, but then used anesthesia to affect Mr. C's consciousness and take away many of his assets.

He reported losing 8 million VND in his wallet and an OPPO mobile phone; then he continued to take 160 million VND in his house and gave it to these people.

Mr. C. did not remember the license plate numbers of these two people, while extracting camera footage from the surrounding area was difficult.

Mai Trung Commune Police are coordinating with professional teams of Hiep Hoa District Police to investigate and clarify the case.

Previously, on the morning of October 12, Mr. TQĐ. (born in 1997, in Ca village, My Thai commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang) reported that two people (one male, one female) came on a motorbike and showed him a photo of an old man and asked if he saw the person in the photo.

After seeing the photos, Mr. D. felt dizzy and could not control his actions. Mr. D. went into the house and gave these people 3 taels of gold, 3 silver necklaces, 1 silver bracelet, 1 silver ring, 1 wedding ring and 1 mobile phone, total assets worth about 30 million VND.

The police force recommends that, to limit fraud and property theft, people need to be extremely vigilant when interacting with strangers. If they see any unusual signs, do not let them get close, do not comply when asked to look at photos, documents, turn off the phone, give directions; do not drink water or eat food given to them...

Take the initiative to end the conversation if these people intentionally approach; go do other things to avoid being led or scammed. Do not create conditions for bad guys to apply psychological manipulation tricks and have the opportunity to seize property.
