On the afternoon of August 27, according to information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Thach That commune, the water level of the Tich River is still rising rapidly, at 3:00 p.m. on August 27 it was 9.04m, exceeding alert level 3 by 64cm.
Regarding flooding, due to heavy rainfall and the Tich River flood in the area exceeding alert level 3, water flooded residential areas near the river, causing localized flooding in some areas in the villages of Hoang Xa, Lai Thuong, Bach Kim, Noi Thon, Ngoai Thon.

The People's Committee of Thach That commune has directed forces to support the evacuation of 3 households in the flooded residential area to a safe location. Regarding agricultural production, the entire commune was partially flooded, 755.7 hectares, causing no damage. Regarding landslides, on August 26, 10 cubic meters of land collapsed in the Den Hill area (Kim 1 village). The Commune Military Command mobilized forces to handle the situation neatly, without affecting traffic.

To proactively respond to storm No. 5 in the area, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Thach That commune has directed the Economic Department and Thach That Irrigation Enterprise to regularly inspect key locations of dykes, irrigation works, and clear the flow to drain water; direct the operation of 100% of pumps of the pumping stations: San, Lai Thuong, Phu Thu to drain water into the Tich River according to the direction and operation of the City People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hanoi.
In addition, the commune directed the villages in the area, the dike and culvert guard force to be on duty 24/7 to inspect the dikes, thoroughly clean all culverts across the dikes, regularly patrol and guard, promptly detect incidents; deploy synchronously and effectively with the spirit of proactively responding, promptly overcoming local flooding points, minimizing damage caused by storms and rising water from the Tich River.
