These days, the atmosphere in Phuc Loc commune is more bustling than ever. From villages, hamlets to agencies, units, schools and businesses, everyone is actively preparing for the important political event, when the new commune officially operates on July 1. According to the Hanoi Moi Newspaper's reporter, on the main roads through Xuan Dinh - Van Phuc commune or the central area of Sen Phuong, many households and production and business establishments have quickly replaced their signs and billboards with the new name of Phuc Loc commune. This is not only an administrative requirement, updating information also shows the spirit of readiness of the people to integrate into a new, larger community with more opportunities.
Ms. Hoang Thi Trang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vong Xuyen Commune, one of the five communes that make up the new Phuc Loc Commune, said: "This morning, we have propagated that the villages in the area proactively review all signposts, street and alley signs related to the old communes. The updating of information on place names and addresses is required to be completed before June 29, to ensure consistency in the use of new administrative names throughout the area."
Along with updating administrative information, a large-scale environmental cleaning campaign is also being implemented. From early morning, villagers have been cleaning up village roads, alleys, cultural houses, historical sites, market areas and schools. Old and expired banners and slogans have been removed and replaced with new, more vivid and eye-catching propaganda images.
In particular, the hanging of national flags and party flags in households, offices and schools is required to be carried out simultaneously from June 29 to July 1. The brilliant red flags are covering the streets and public places, contributing to creating a solemn and exciting atmosphere, ready for the big local event.
According to the representative of the People's Committee of Phuc Loc commune, the preparation for the first day of operation of the two-level local government is not only the task of the government, but also the common responsibility of the entire political system and the people in the area. With the close coordination of departments, branches, organizations and the positive response from the people, up to this point, most of the tasks have been basically completed, ready for the operation of the new commune on July 1.
The establishment of a new commune not only has administrative significance, but is also an important step to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the area, creating a premise for socio -economic development in the new period.
“We determined that this is not just a simple administrative event, but also an opportunity to strengthen people's trust, create motivation for the patriotic emulation movement, contribute to promoting comprehensive economic, cultural and social development, maintain security and order, and improve the lives of people in the commune,” said Mr. Dinh Xuan Hanh, Head of the Health Department of Phuc Tho district, who is expected to be assigned to work in the new Phuc Loc commune.
According to Resolution No. 1656/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Phuc Loc commune was established on the basis of merging the communes: Vong Xuyen, Sen Phuong, Xuan Dinh, Van Phuc and Nam Ha. With a total area of over 41.2km² and a population of over 61,000 people, Phuc Loc is one of the communes with the largest population in Phuc Tho district today.
