VIRESA and FPT cooperate to develop e-sports

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Recreational Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA) and FPT Corporation have just signed a cooperation agreement to promote the development of recreational electronic sports and digital physical sports in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the two units plan to cooperate in organizing tournaments, events, national team activities and training. Specifically, the two sides will coordinate to implement training programs in the field of e -sports in the activities of selecting and training national sports talents, supporting resources for training activities, domestic and international competitions of the national team; organizing events; organizing tournaments at national and international levels...

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Chairman of VIRESA, this cooperation agreement is of strategic significance, with the goal of bringing the Vietnamese e-sports environment to a new level, becoming more professional, systematic and sustainable as well as creating conditions for e-sports to affirm the country's position on the world esports map..

“FPT wishes to cooperate and contribute with VIRESA in the field of e-sports, promoting the organization of high-quality, large-scale tournaments at the national and international levels. FPT has strengths in technology and infrastructure capacity and will apply new technologies to e-sports activities in the near future," said Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT.
