Vietjet 's Hanoi - Hiroshima route began serving passengers from July 19, operating two round trips per week on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The ceremony to announce the first direct flight from Vietnam to Hiroshima, also Vietjet’s 8th route connecting Vietnam and Japan, took place yesterday in Hiroshima city. The event took place during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh ’s visit to Japan to attend the G7 Summit.
The direct flight from Hanoi to Hiroshima takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes. The flight departs from Noi Bai Airport at 2:15 and lands at Hiroshima Airport at 8:45 (local time). The return flight departs at 9:45 in Hiroshima (local time) and lands in Hanoi at 12:35.

At the ceremony, Hiroshima Prefecture Deputy Governor Masahiko Tanabe said that Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima International Airport are working together to expand the province's flight network. "I am very excited about the new route announced today, which is the first route connecting the Chugoku and Shikoku regions with Vietnam," said Masahiko Tanabecho. The Hiroshima Governor said that with Vietjet's new direct flights, travel between Hiroshima and Vietnam will become more convenient, thereby promoting more active cooperation in many areas, including business, trade and tourism.
Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, CEO of Vietjet, said that as a member of the Japan Business Federation - Keidanren, Japan's largest comprehensive economic organization, Vietjet is committed to continuing to expand its flight network to the Land of the Rising Sun, bringing more opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with many convenient flight options.

"Passengers on direct flights between Hanoi and Hiroshima will experience a modern fleet, hot meals, served by friendly, professional crew, attentive and dedicated service," a Vietjet representative confirmed. The airline currently has direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and many flights to Niigata, Shizuoka, Fukushima.
