Vietnamese investors have invested abroad in 14 sectors. Of these, wholesale and retail led with 32 new investment projects and 6 capital adjustments, with a total registered investment capital of more than 151 million USD, accounting for 35.7% of the total registered investment capital abroad.
The information and communication industry ranked second with more than 119.3 million USD, accounting for 28.1%. Next were the electricity production and distribution industries, agriculture , forestry, fisheries; processing and manufacturing industries, etc.
There are 24 countries and territories receiving investment from Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2023. Leading the way is Canada with 1 new investment project and 1 capital adjustment project, the total registered investment capital reached more than 150.2 million USD, accounting for 35.4% of the total investment capital. As of October 20, Vietnam had 1,675 valid foreign investment projects, with a total investment capital of more than 22.1 billion USD.
Of these, 141 projects of state-owned enterprises, with total overseas investment capital of nearly 11.67 billion USD, accounted for 52.8%.
