Why are Hanoi parks still littered with fallen trees?

TPO - By the end of September 17, Hanoi streets had been basically cleared of fallen trees after storm No. 3. However, parks were still in disarray.

According to Tien Phong reporter's records at the Capital Youth Park (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi), the place is still in disarray as if it had just been hit by a storm.

Trees have fallen at the park’s lake since the storm but have not been cleaned up. According to the Hai Ba Trung District People’s Committee, Tuoi Tre Park is being used as a collection point for fallen trees.

At Thong Nhat Park, the largest park in the city. Trees are also lying around.

A representative of Thong Nhat Park Company Limited said that the entire company's force has been reinforced in recent days for the Green Park Company to clean up fallen trees on the streets.

All forces are given priority to clean up the streets and ensure traffic. After completing the cleaning, the streets will be neat and tidy. The Thong Nhat Park area will be handled soon.

It is known that in recent days, Thong Nhat Park Company Limited has mobilized 100% of its personnel and specialized vehicles to support localities in handling fallen trees. Hanoi Urban Lighting Company Limited has also mobilized cranes and human resources to clean up the streets.

Regarding Youth Park, a representative of Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee said that the park has received about 5,000 m3 of wood.

"With a large amount of branches and leaves still being gathered, the unit will come up with a detailed plan to mobilize professional vehicles with large tonnage to ensure that the largest volume can be transported as quickly as possible," said a representative of Hai Ba Trung district.

According to the report of Hanoi Department of Construction, about 660 firewood trees were gathered at Yen So warehouse of Green Park Company and Kim Chung warehouse (Hoai Duc district) of Ha Thanh Company.

Hanoi has also proactively added two more gathering points in Thanh Tri and Dong Anh districts.
