On the morning of July 30, at Do Son tourist area, Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association hosted the conference "Literature and arts with the country entering a new era".

This is a key activity within the framework of the VN8+ group cooperation including the Literature and Arts Associations in the extended Red River Delta region, aiming to create an academic forum for exchange and re-identification of the role and position of literature and arts in the context of globalization, digital transformation and development of the cultural industry.

The workshop attracted the participation of many managers, critics, artists from provinces and cities such as Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Son La, Cao Bang ... with more than 10 in-depth presentations, demonstrating the interest and responsibility of professionals in the need for innovation in thinking and approach to art in the new era.

Meritorious Artist Le Hai, Chairman of the Hai Phong City Literature and Arts Association, presented the conference introduction.

Many papers focused on analyzing the leading role of literature and art in the process of cultural development, building the national value system and the Vietnamese people in the modernization period. Practical experiences in promoting local literature and art magazines, promoting creative activities in mountainous areas, and preserving national cultural values in the context of modern media.

Delegates agreed that literature and art cannot stand outside the country's innovation flow, but are part of the internal strength, the voice of the times, and have great soft power in nurturing the national soul, creating identity and spreading humanistic values in society.

In particular, in the period of digital transformation and deep integration, literature and art need to strongly innovate from content to form of expression, expand the space to reach the public, and at the same time promote the role of critical theory in aesthetic orientation and development of contemporary art.
