This is a long-term residency program for foreigners in the Johor Special Economic Zone initiated by the Malaysian Government.
As of July 2025, there will be 164 direct flights per week between Malaysia and Vietnam, connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc and Nha Trang to Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu.
The convenient flight network is increasingly expanding to meet the growing needs of two-way tourists from both countries.
Increasing flight frequency helps tourists have more flexibility in their schedules. At the same time, it promotes segments such as: weekend travel, tourism, resort combined with conferences and events - MICE.
