Accordingly, the unification of archaeological excavation of the remaining part of the Lieu Coc twin tower Cham relic aims to have the most comprehensive and complete basis for identifying this temple. Previously, specialized units had conducted archaeological excavations here twice in 2024 and 2025.

Hue City People's Committee assigned the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare a report and request permission from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to grant exploration and excavation licenses in accordance with current regulations.

Regarding the shelter to protect the Lieu Coc twin towers relic, the City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and guide the Kim Tra Ward People's Committee to determine the appropriate scale and area for building the shelter, make a detailed estimate, and report to the City People's Committee for consideration and decision.

Through two archaeological excavations at the Lieu Coc twin towers relic site conducted by the National Museum of History in coordination with the Department of Culture and Information of Hue city, the archaeological team has confirmed that: up to this point, the Lieu Coc twin towers are the only relic site in Vietnam with two main worshiping towers, usually there are only one or three main worshiping towers.

During the second archaeological expedition, the team of experts collected 9,380 specimens and artifacts.

Lieu Coc Twin Towers were built from the 9th century to the early 10th century. The North Tower was built first and the South Tower was built about 10-20 years later.

The stratigraphic structure shows that the two towers have almost no difference in height, but the South tower was built on a larger scale than the North tower by about 0.4m and shifted 0.2m to the east compared to the North tower.

The wall decorations of the two towers differ in the decorative artifacts of the columns, wall pillars and central door pillars; the grooves in the South tower are more elaborate and perfect than the North tower.

Lieu Coc Twin Towers is the only Cham Pa temple in Vietnam with 2 main temples.

The archaeological team also collected more than 14,000 specimens and artifacts during two archaeological excavations; mainly architectural materials, architectural decorations, stele fragments, enameled pottery, porcelain, earthenware and bronze metal pieces.

In 1926, the Lieu Coc Twin Towers were studied by the Far Eastern Archaeological Institute and ranked as an ancient relic in all of Vietnam and Indochina at that time. In 1994, the relic was ranked as a national architectural and artistic relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
