On the morning of July 31, a representative of the Vietnam Education Publishing House (VEP) said that up to now, the VEP has supplied 157.8 million textbooks (reaching 98%) according to the plan, ensuring to meet market demand, fully and promptly supplying textbooks to students and teachers nationwide before the new school year begins.
According to the original plan, the Vietnam Education Publishing House would complete printing and supply about 160.8 million textbooks before August 15, of which 2-3% of the output would be reserved for use in case of unexpected events, natural disasters, storms and floods, etc. Up to now, the target has been achieved, 15 days early. “This is a great effort by the collective leadership, workers and units of the publishing house. From compilation, printing to distribution... everything has been accelerated with the goal of not letting any student lack books on the first day of school ,” emphasized the representative of the Publishing House.
The 2025–2026 school year is the second year that all levels of education will implement the new general education program, with a stable list of basic textbooks selected. The textbook market is therefore more active than usual. Many parents proactively buy books for their children right from the beginning of summer.
To provide enough books before the new school year, the Vietnam Education Publishing House has developed a plan to print textbooks very early to organize printing and warehousing work in time to serve the distribution needs and is currently actively and urgently organizing printing, warehousing and supplying textbooks to localities.
Parents can buy books at the NXBGDVN store system and its member units, local book and school equipment companies. Below is a list of stores in the system that have been informed on the NXBGVN website to support customers in finding textbooks conveniently, avoiding buying books from sources floating on the market, books of unknown origin:
