Stick to the area to help people effectively

Tay Ninh province currently has 11 border communes with a large proportion of ethnic minorities and poor households living. In these communes, in addition to the attention of local Party committees and authorities, border guards (Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command) regularly support and care for people's material and spiritual lives, helping them stabilize their lives and develop their family economy.

Recently, the Border Guard Command of Tay Ninh province coordinated with Suoi Lam Border Guard Station to present 100 gifts (each gift includes a lot of food, necessities and cash) to policy families and disadvantaged households in the locality. Comrade Ly Trung Dong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tan Hoa commune, said: “As a border commune, Tan Hoa has encountered many difficulties in terms of economy , security and order. In recent times, the militia, police and Border Guard forces have not only fulfilled their tasks well according to their functions but also effectively carried out social security work, accompanying local Party committees and authorities to take care of the poor”.

Not only supporting people in border areas to develop the economy and maintain security and order, officers and soldiers of the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard also combine propaganda for people to raise vigilance, prevent and combat plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces, build a safe and strong area; examine, consult, provide health care, and distribute free medicine; mobilize people to actively participate in preventing, detecting and denouncing crimes... The Provincial Border Guard Command and border posts stationed in communes also deploy many models and programs to connect the military and people such as: "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border posts"; "Accompanying women in the border areas"; "Rice jars for soldiers"; "Spring on the border warms the hearts of the villagers"; "The sound of the gong in the border area"... contributing to firmly consolidating the "people's heart position", building a people's security position associated with a strong national defense.

One of the important tasks of the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard is to participate in building and consolidating political bases, developing socio-economics of border communes as the basis and foundation for implementing border protection measures. Therefore, the Provincial Border Guard Command promotes the role of local cadres, advising local Party committees and authorities on ensuring national defense and security; assigning Party members of border guard stations to be in charge of households in border areas to regularly grasp their thoughts and aspirations, propagate and mobilize people to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws. According to Colonel Duong Van Duoc, Deputy Political Commissar of the Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command: Thanks to closely following the locality and implementing a variety of solutions, people's awareness has been raised, actively participating in the fight against violations of the law, not assisting in smuggling, trade fraud, not participating in illegal transportation of goods; actively participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security. The relationship between the Party organization, government and people of border communes is firmly consolidated.
