Provincial People's Committee removes difficulties in implementing Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant project

According to the report of the People's Committee of Cua Ong Ward, the total area recovered for the project's land acquisition is 41.12 hectares, involving many households and organizations. The implementation process encountered difficulties because some households did not agree with the compensation and support plan for land acquisition, affecting the progress of land handover for the project; some problems in verifying the origin of the land, the status of construction, and tree planting before July 1, 2004...

At the meeting, Mr. Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant Project is a key project, of strategic significance in ensuring energy security and socio -economic development of the province. He requested Cua Ong ward and related units to review decisions, documents, records, clearly identify the scope and ownership entities to have solutions to completely handle existing problems, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

At the same time, Cua Ong ward and related units need to review appropriate support mechanisms, publicize compensation plans, and organize direct dialogues with people affected by the project. Units must complete all plans and related procedures in September 2025 to hand over the site for the project.
