On August 28, the Propaganda Department - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) coordinated with the Provincial Confederation of Labor to organize a conference on propaganda, trainingand communication on drug prevention and control for workers and laborers with the participation of 300 workers of YIDA Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Song Thao Town Industrial Cluster, Cam Khe Town, Cam Khe District).
Representatives of YIDA Vietnam Co., Ltd., together with experts, propagandists and workers, discussed measures to prevent and combat drug abuse.
In 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor determined to innovate communication work, focusing on disseminating knowledge and laws on drug prevention and control to workers in industrial parks and export processing zones in a number of provinces.
Six localities were selected to organize training and communication courses on drug prevention and control for workers and laborers, including Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Bac Giang , Nghe An, and Vinh Phuc.
To improve the effectiveness of communication work on the harmful effects of drugs, the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has produced short clips to educate workers about the harmful effects of drugs and how to prevent them.
At the conference, employees of YIDA Vietnam Co., Ltd. were shared by experts with knowledge and legal information on drug prevention and control; handling situations and measures to prevent and control drugs. Through the program, the aim is to disseminate knowledge and laws on drug prevention and control, raise vigilance, and proactive prevention to a large number of union members and workers; actively contributing to creating a healthy living environment.
