On July 19, information from the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training announced the 2025 high school graduation results for schools in the province.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, the whole Dak Lak province had 32,418 candidates taking the exam. As a result, 31,881 candidates passed the high school graduation exam, reaching a rate of 98.34% (not yet reviewed).

The whole province has 34 high schools and 2 Vocational Education - Continuing Education centers with a 100% graduation rate in 2025.

Among them is Cao Ba Quat High School, which has a 100% graduation rate. At this school, many students with poor academic performance had a discussion with the school, then "voluntarily" submitted an application to reserve their 12th grade study results.

After a few days off, some students asked to return to school but the school did not agree. After the incident was reported by the press and the Department of Education and Training set up an inspection team, the school "invited" the students to return to school.

Four students returned to school and all passed the high school graduation exam.

The Dak Lak Department of Education and Training concluded that the school and homeroom teachers advising students to write applications to reserve their study results and take a leave of absence was not in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the information flow of public opinion that Cao Ba Quat High School has allowed students with poor academic performance to reserve their 12th grade study results to reduce the high school graduation failure rate, however, the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training said that there is not enough basis to confirm this.

Regarding the responsibility of the collective and individuals involved in the incident of students retaining their results, the Department of Education and Training is continuing to clarify.
