Vietnam women's team won 7-0 against Indonesia
In the match at Lach Tray Stadium on the evening of August 9, Duong Thi Van suffered an unexpected injury during a fierce ball fight, forcing her to leave the field by ambulance in the 20th minute.
Immediately after confirming that the Vietnamese female midfielder could not continue playing, coach Mai Duc Chung immediately made a decision to change the personnel. He withdrew Duong Thi Van from the field and sent Hai Linh in to replace her.

The female player born in 1994 was quickly taken by medical staff to an ambulance and left the field, causing the atmosphere in the Lach Tray stadium stands to fall silent.
Currently, the extent of Duong Thi Van's injury has not been determined, but if she cannot continue to accompany the Vietnamese women's team in the remaining matches of the 2025 Southeast Asian tournament, this will be a strong blow to coach Mai Duc Chung's plan.
However, in the match against Indonesia on the evening of August 9, the Vietnamese girls team still won convincingly with a score of 7-0, with the highlight being Pham Hai Yen's double in the 69th and 85th minutes.
Duong Thi Van is an indispensable name in the midfield of coach Mai Duc Chung's squad thanks to her ability to control the rhythm, launch attacks and extensive international competition experience.
Duong Thi Van's absence will create a big gap, especially in matches that require solidity and courage. This will be a "difficult problem" for the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team in the rest of the tournament.
