Dr. Trinh Thang presents the calligraphy painting "Vang Am Thanh Linh" to the National Library and the Museum of Fine Arts

From special vibrations in silence to “divine” strokes in full awareness, Dr. Trinh Thang - author of hundreds of paintings and books, has just returned to the art-loving public through his solo exhibition “Bodhi Breath” - introducing 40 of his latest works. At the same time, he also launched the calligraphy book “Vang Am Thanh Linh”, a special collection of paintings crystallized from three recent exhibitions: “Vo” (2020), “Rung Dong Tu Hu Vo” (2024) and “Bodhi Breath” (2025).

For Dr. Trinh Thang, creativity does not come from ideas or effort, but from an "empty mind" - where there is no longer any interference or entanglement of the "ego". With a pure mind and a spirit of gratitude and giving, Dr. Trinh Thang puts pen to paper and paints, and when he does something, he paints non-stop until a work is completely finished. He completed all 40 large-scale paintings in more than a month.

Dr. Trinh Thang shared: “This series of paintings is large in size, so I painted it outdoors, and every day there were many neighbors and spectators coming to see it. From the first stroke until completion, I often did not think, painted without stopping and continuously broke the attachment to the forms until I completely portrayed the core spirit of the Great Accomplishments, of Bodhicitta. Viewers will not find pure beauty according to conventional patterns but will feel each sacred message for themselves through each work. This is also the “gift” I want to express my gratitude to everyone.”

Also at the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Bodhi Breath", Dr. Trinh Thang launched the book "Vang Am Thanh Linh" - a calligraphy and painting book that crystallizes nearly 200 works from three recent solo exhibitions: "Vo" (2020), "Rung Dong Tu Hu Vo" (2024) and "Bodhi Breath" (2025).
