Posthumously awarding the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother to mother Nguyen Thi Ngo

At the ceremony, Party Secretary, Chairman of Vinh Tuy Ward People's Council Nguyen Quang Trung and Vice Chairman of Vinh Tuy Ward People's Committee Le Bich Hang presented the Certificate of Vietnamese Heroic Mother title and badge, and presented flowers to the family representative, Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc, grandson of mother Nguyen Thi Ngo.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Le Bich Hang said that mother Nguyen Thi Ngo was born in 1906 and passed away in 1956 in Hoang Van Thu ward, Hoang Mai district (old), now Tuong Mai ward, Hanoi city . During her lifetime, mother Nguyen Thi Ngo had 4 children, of which 2 sons heroically sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism.

They are Martyr Nguyen Huu Be, who died in 1946 on the battlefield of Hanoi Capital during the National Resistance War against France, and Martyr Nguyen Huu Thao, who died in 1972 on the battlefield of the Central Highlands during the Spring-Summer 1972 campaign.

Despite the loss, mother Nguyen Thi Ngo was always resilient, devoted to her family, and raised her children and grandchildren to continue building their homeland. Generations of her children and grandchildren always preserve traditions, actively study and work, and contribute to building a rich and beautiful capital.

In recognition of her contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland, on April 9, 2025, President Luong Cuong signed Decision No. 449/QD-CTN to posthumously award the state honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to Mother Nguyen Thi Ngo.

On behalf of the government and people of Vinh Tuy ward, comrade Le Bich Hang expressed her deep gratitude to the family of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ngo. Her life and silent sacrifices are a shining example, contributing to the glorious history of the nation.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of his family, Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc thanked the Party and State for posthumously awarding the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother to mother Nguyen Thi Ngo, considering this a great honor and pride for generations in the extended family.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc affirmed that this noble title is a source of encouragement for the family to always remember the merits of their ancestors, preserve and promote revolutionary traditions, continuously study, work and contribute to the locality, the capital and the country.
