Cuu Long University has good news for new Khmer ethnic students

On July 11, Cuu Long University announced that it has just issued a document awarding full scholarships (100% tuition exemption) to new Khmer ethnic students in the Mekong Delta provinces enrolling in full-time university training programs in 2024 (except Medicine and Pharmacy). The specific number of scholarships to be awarded is: Vinh Long (15 scholarships); An Giang, Bac Lieu , Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh provinces (5 scholarships each).

Meritorious teacher Associate Professor Dr. Luong Minh Cu (left cover) and Master Le Ton Duc Hoa awarded the decision to grant full scholarships to new students with especially difficult circumstances at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.

Cuu Long University will send an official dispatch to the Ethnic Minorities Committee of the above provinces to announce the school's preferential policies for new Khmer ethnic students, through which the provinces will select and introduce new students to receive admission scholarships.

Meritorious teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Party Secretary, Principal of Cuu Long University - said that through the scholarship, it will help new Khmer ethnic students, especially those from difficult family circumstances, to strive to excel in their studies to realize their dreams. At the same time, it also contributes to the good implementation of the ethnic policies of the Party and the State.

Previously, at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, Cuu Long University awarded full scholarships to 38 new students, including Vietnam (2 students), Laos (30 students), Cambodia (6 students); awarded 50% full-course scholarships (50% tuition exemption for the entire course) to 2 new students who are Laotian students. The total scholarship funding is nearly 4.6 billion VND.
