Mr. Chang Ho Ick, Chairman of the Association of Koreans Who Love Vietnam, shared that over the past 20 years, the Association of Koreans Who Love Vietnam has conducted many volunteer trips, supported victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and awarded scholarships to poor but studious students in regions of Vietnam.

Each journey leaves unforgettable impressions of beautiful lands, of people who are always cheerful, friendly and full of determination. That is the image of a Vietnam rising from the losses of war and today rising in a new era of the nation.

Mr. Chang Ho Ick affirmed that with sincere love for Vietnam, coming from the heart, each member of the Association of Korean People Who Love Vietnam will always be by Vietnam's side, accompanying Vietnamese friends.

Professor and translator Ahn Kyong Hwan expressed his pride in his life being associated with a nation and country of Vietnam that is extremely resilient and determined. The history of building the country is closely linked to the history of defending the country, creating the sense of independence, autonomy, qualities and values ​​of Vietnam.

Mr. Ahn Kyong Hwan shared that on September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), opening an era of independence and freedom in the history of the Vietnamese nation.

And on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution in 2025, General Secretary To Lam will carry out the task of "rebuilding" the country, bringing the Vietnamese people into an era of rising up and moving towards prosperity.

Professor and translator Ahn Kyong Hwan emphasized that it has been 39 years since Vietnam implemented the Renovation, Reform and Open Door policy in 1986. The number of foreign corporations and companies investing in Vietnam has increased sharply, and exports have been promoted.

Foreign investment contributes significantly to Vietnam's socio-economic development, but foreign enterprises have also faced many difficulties, especially regarding administrative procedures.

Professor and translator Ahn Kyong Hwan believes that Vietnam is carrying out another “August Revolution”. This is a revolution of institutional reform, streamlining the apparatus to improve administrative management efficiency, a large-scale revolution, no less than the August Revolution of 1945; emphasizing that the policy of streamlining the apparatus and organizing two-level local government will be successful.

Professor and translator Ahn Kyong Hwan believes that if Vietnam eliminates the bureaucracy of a portion of civil servants, the inefficiency that does not meet the expectations of the administrative system, and is determined in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, the Vietnamese economy will "soar like a dragon."

The policy of streamlining the apparatus and organizing two-level local government will have many challenges. But let us believe in President Ho Chi Minh's saying: "Nothing is difficult/Only fear of not being steadfast/Digging mountains and filling seas/Determination will make it happen."

Mr. Lee Shin Jae, Chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association, said that the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association is always proud to have accompanied and made significant contributions to the development of the relationship between the two countries through activities to help build new facilities and equipment for many schools, vocational training centers for the disabled and orphans in difficult areas, support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, award scholarships to poor students in Vietnam, support the Vietnamese community in Korea, connect economic cooperation, science and technology...; make efforts to promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries to become more and more vibrant.

The President of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association emphasized that with the daily development and growth of Vietnam and always proud of the achievements that Vietnamese friends are having; affirming that with the foundation of friendship and mutual trust, the two peoples of Korea and Vietnam will certainly be able to overcome all challenges to move towards a bright and prosperous future.

Expressing his emotion at the affection that Korean friends have for the people and country of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam thanked Korean friends for their contributions and contributions to the Vietnam-Korea relationship over the past time.

The General Secretary emphasized that over the past years, the Vietnam-Korea relationship has developed extensively and achieved many encouraging results in all fields, actively contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Vietnam and the Republic of Korea have become each other's leading partners in many fields. This visit to the Republic of Korea aims to strongly affirm Vietnam's determination to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Korea; the desire for higher political trust, closer strategic coordination, more comprehensive substantive cooperation and closer friendship between the two peoples.
