Strengthening the Executive Committee of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City for the 2024-2029 term

On August 28, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City (after the merger) held the first meeting of the Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term, finalizing personnel and orienting the development of people-to-people diplomacy in the last months of 2025 and 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City; and Vice Chairmen Pham Huu Hoa, Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, Huynh Thi Thanh An chaired the Conference. Attending were Ms. Tran Thi Man, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Ms. Pham Thi Thao Nguyen, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee; Mr. Truong Hong Giang, Deputy Director of the City Department of Home Affairs; representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Quang Nam Province (old) and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City (old).

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh deployed the central and city's directives and instructions on the arrangement, streamlining and consolidation of mass associations assigned by the Party and State. Mr. Pham Huu Hoa presented a proposal for consultation on the appointment of personnel for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Head of the Inspection Committee for the 2024-2029 term, and at the same time submitted to the Executive Committee the dismissal of a number of members who retired or transferred to other jobs. Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh An summarized the work report for the first 8 months of the year and key tasks for the last 4 months of 2025.

As a result of the consultation, the Executive Committee of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City for the 2024 - 2029 term consists of 61 members; the Standing Committee has 17 members; the Inspection Committee has 6 members. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City (old) holds the position of Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City for the 2024 - 2029 term (after the merger); the Vice Chairmen are Mr. Pham Huu Hoa, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh An; the Head of the Inspection Committee is Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy Director of the City Police. The conference also dismissed 9 members of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee who retired or transferred jobs.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh highly appreciated the results of activities over the past 8 months, especially the peace and friendship work and foreign non-governmental aid mobilization, contributing to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Da Nang people and international friends, while promoting the image of a dynamic and creative city.

Regarding the key tasks in the last months of the year, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh stated 4 contents: perfecting the apparatus, stabilizing ideology and work; strengthening coordination with departments, branches and localities to effectively implement people's foreign affairs activities; developing a master plan for work in 2026; assigning four member friendship associations with corresponding associations in the two localities of Da Nang and Quang Nam (old), including the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association, the Vietnam - France Friendship Association, the Vietnam - Russian Federation Friendship Association, and the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association to coordinate, agree on personnel and arrangement plans to report to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and the Department of Home Affairs.

Speaking at the direction, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Tran Thi Man acknowledged the results of people's foreign affairs work of the City Union of Friendship Organizations in the first 8 months of the year, and requested the Union to closely coordinate with the City Front in the management, propaganda and mobilization of overseas Vietnamese, implementing the contents according to Notice No. 204/TB-VP dated August 27, 2025 and Instruction No. 05/HD-MTTW-BTT dated July 30, 2025, in order to build Da Nang to be increasingly developed, civilized and sustainable.
