The whole province established 225 Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs.

On the morning of June 24, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) held a conference to summarize the Prime Minister's Project 1336 on expanding the Intergenerational Self-Help Club (ICCL) model until 2025 and to review the association's work in the first 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Association of the Elderly admitted 3,233 new members, bringing the total number of members in the province to 154,406/172,905 elderly people (reaching a rate of 89.3%); coordinated to organize longevity celebrations for 6,915 elderly people according to regulations with a total amount of more than 3.2 billion VND; visited and gave gifts to 16,954 disadvantaged elderly people in the province with a total amount of more than 6.9 billion VND...

In addition, the whole province has 10,510 seniors participating in Party, government, Front and mass organizations; 2,958 seniors are good at economics , of which 303 are farm and business owners...

Up to now, 152/180 communes, wards and towns have established a Fund to care for and promote the role of the elderly with a fund of more than 7.7 billion VND.

After 5 years of implementing the Project to replicate the Intergenerational Self-Help Club model by 2025, the whole province has established 225 Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs with 11,563 members, of which 8,215 are elderly members (accounting for 71%).

Club members have voluntarily contributed and built a fund of more than 11.5 billion VND to support 1,583 members in difficult circumstances to borrow capital to develop production, business and services.

Since its establishment, the clubs have been operating relatively well, most of them have fully implemented the activities according to regulations, but there are still some limited activities in terms of economic support for members, organizing health check-ups, etc.

In the last 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Elderly Association will continue to carry out 3 tasks, 3 major work programs of the Vietnam Elderly Association and 2 tasks assigned by the Government; summarize the implementation of the Project to replicate the Intergenerational Self-Help Club model for the period 2021 - 2025...

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Elderly Association awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 3 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 groups and 5 individuals; the Provincial Elderly Association awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 1336 of the Prime Minister on expanding the model of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs until 2025.
