The traditional cultural activities of the Vietnamese ethnic groups are very diverse and rich, expressed through many areas such as festivals, costumes, cuisine, folk arts, customs, architecture, and language. These factors not only enrich the spiritual life of the people but also contribute significantly to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam in the international arena.

Vietnam has many traditional festivals that are imbued with national identity. These festivals are not only occasions for fun but also opportunities to remember ancestors, gods and express each person's gratitude to the origin of the nation.

After the launching ceremony of the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award , from May until now, many authors and photographers have sent to the Organizing Committee photo works marking local traditional cultural activities so that every Vietnamese citizen can review, preserve and deepen the national cultural values, thereby further tightening solidarity, enhancing understanding and accompanying each other in the process of building and developing the country, aiming to bring the country to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era - the era of striving to develop richly and prosperously of the nation.

This is a football match between the San Chi ethnic girls' team and the Dao ethnic team in the cultural festival of ethnic minorities in the highlands held annually in Quang Ninh, to honor traditional cultural values, contribute to the completion of the project to preserve, restore and promote ethnic sports in Quang Ninh province, and at the same time create more tourism products for the Northeast region of the country.

Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups, of which the Kinh ethnic group is the largest. However, as long as they are Vietnamese citizens living on Vietnamese territory, they all have the same origin, use the same national flag, national name, national anthem, comply with state regulations, and have rights and obligations towards the country. For that reason, the Vietnamese ethnic culture has been built and developed to be very diverse and rich, from customs, habits, places of residence to costumes, living habits, languages, etc. That is the special attraction of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.

Author Khong Yen Anh submitted the work “ 100 beautiful trays of food contest ”. The contest took place in Rung Chung village, Xuan Hoa commune, Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang provinces.

Lam Binh is a mountainous district of Tuyen Quang province, where many ethnic minorities live, accounting for over 95% of the district's total population. Every year, the district organizes a cultural festival of ethnic groups to preserve, conserve and develop the identity of ethnic minorities. "The contest of 100 beautiful dishes" is one of the activities of the festival to preserve and develop the unique culinary identity of the ethnic groups in Lam Binh district.

As part of the 50th anniversary camp of the Da Nang Youth Union, the most special event was the blindfolded duck catching contest that really attracted a large number of campers and supporters to participate. The activity not only created a fun playground but also contributed to spreading the beauty of folk culture to the younger generation, especially the youth union members.

The giant banh tet cake in the photo is the one that set a Vietnamese Record, displayed at Phuong Nam Cultural Area - Lap Vo, Dong Thap on the occasion of Tet Giap Thin 2024. This is a unique cultural culinary work, carried out by the locality to honor the traditional Tet of the Southern people. The implementation and recognition of the Vietnamese Record is not only the pride of Dong Thap but also contributes to promoting the traditional Tet culture to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. This is a prominent destination in the series of activities to welcome spring, attracting the attention and participation of the community.

The Award is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television . Thereby, we continue to introduce and promote the image of the country, the Vietnamese people, cultural and natural values ​​throughout the country; arouse national pride and aspirations for development in all classes of Vietnamese people to join hands to build an increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy Vietnam.

Contestants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over

The award consists of two categories: Photo and Video.

Each contest category (photo and video) will have one First Prize worth 50,000,000 VND, two Second Prizes worth 30,000,000 VND, three Third Prizes worth 15,000,000 VND, 10 Encouragement Prizes worth 5,000,000 VND, one Most Voted Work Prize worth 5,000,000 VND.

The Organizing Committee encourages and will award a creative prize in each category (photo and video) worth 20,000,000 VND for works with new ideas, creativity in content and form of expression.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award monthly prizes including First, Second, and Third prizes to the highest voted works of the month in each category.

The Jury will select the award through two rounds of Preliminary and Final, both online and in person.
