News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 7/18/2025

Domestic market on July 18, 2025

Domestic pepper prices are expected to continue to fluctuate within a narrow range, around 138,000 - 140,000 VND/kg. Some areas such as Gia Lai may have a slight adjustment of about 500 VND/kg depending on purchasing power from processing factories. Supply pressure is still present but not strong enough to push prices down deeply. Positive export activities, especially increased demand from European and Middle Eastern markets at the end of the month, will support domestic pepper prices to maintain a stable price level.

In addition, the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) has sent a petition to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment regarding difficulties in granting Food Safety Certificates for exported spice products, which could affect export activities if not resolved promptly.

International market on July 18, 2025

Vietnam's pepper export prices remained stable, with 500 g/l black pepper at $6,440/ton, 550 g/l at $6,570/ton and ASTA white pepper at $9,150/ton.

The world market is going through a period of adjustment after a series of hot days, creating the premise for a sustainable recovery in the second half of 2025.

Assessing the general trend of pepper prices tomorrow, July 18, 2025

In the next few days, domestic pepper prices are likely to continue to fluctuate within a narrow range, and will be difficult to decrease if there are no major changes in the import market or foreign trade policies. The international market is forecast to remain stable or increase slightly, providing positive support for Vietnamese pepper prices. If there is no shock from the USD exchange rate or trade policies, pepper prices will maintain a positive price base, creating favorable conditions for growers and exporters to prepare for orders at the end of the month.
