It was a short but emotional exchange between the teacher and the student when the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam were announced, because the joy seemed to explode when the school had a student who was the valedictorian of the whole province.

All-round effort
Without resting after taking the high school graduation exam in 2025, Nguyen Truong Son chose to work part-time to gain experience while waiting for the exam results. He always chooses a simple, dynamic lifestyle and learns continuously. His family is in difficult circumstances, his parents are freelancers with unstable income, so his older brother takes on the responsibility of taking care of his two younger siblings' education by working part-time since grade 10.
“For me, learning is not only in books and notebooks, but also in the future orientations of parents and teachers to step into life. Experiencing life and learning to increase knowledge is not something that can be done only after graduation, but starts from school activities and free time when not sitting in school chairs” - Nguyen Truong Son, a student of class 12D1, Dong Xoai High School shared.
Nguyen Truong Son said that in his youth journey, he always sets clear learning goals and steadfastly pursues them. In the 2023-2024 school year, he achieved the title of excellent student, won a bronze medal in the 19-5 Provincial Geography Olympiad, and continued to win third prize in the 2024-2025 Provincial Excellent Student Competition. With comprehensive efforts in studying, ethics and physical fitness, he was honored to receive the title of "3 Good Students" at the school, city and provincial levels - achievements that demonstrate his seriousness in implementing Uncle Ho's teachings.

If you keep sharpening iron, one day it will become a needle.
Although studying and reviewing for block D1, Son once participated in the Geography excellent student team and achieved high results, thanks to which he had a foundation to expand his review for block C00 and boldly made the choice to follow block C00 when starting the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
Under the guidance of teachers and his own efforts, he achieved the maximum score in the 2025 high school graduation exam for the subjects of Geography and History. Son is a testament to not restricting himself to studying in a certain block but being able to explore his talents and abilities in subjects of adjacent blocks to test his own abilities.
Proof of that perseverance is the result of the 2025 high school graduation exam, Son achieved 29 points (Literature 9, History 10, Geography 10) holding the top position in block C of Dong Nai province.
“These results for me are not luck but the crystallization of perseverance, strong will and a desire to constantly learn and contribute. For me, each achievement is not only to mark the past but also a reminder of the responsibility of a young union member towards his homeland and country,” said Nguyen Truong Son.
Not stopping at books, Nguyen Truong Son always aims for a positive life, regularly participates in Union activities and youth movements with a high sense of responsibility; organizes and runs many meaningful activities such as programs: Donating old books, Loving Mid-Autumn Festival, Volunteer Spring... strongly spreading the spirit of "the rich help the poor" to students.

In recognition of these efforts, Nguyen Truong Son was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Xoai City (old) for "Outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dong Xoai Liberation Day"; The Youth Union of Dong Xoai City (old) awarded a certificate of merit for "Outstanding achievements in the work of the Youth Union and the school youth movement in the 2023-2024 school year".
For 3 consecutive years from 2023 to 2025, the school has had a 100% graduation rate. Nguyen Truong Son is one of the typical students of Dong Xoai High School in recent years. Previously, in 2024, Tran Hung Hai, a 12C student, was the valedictorian of block C in the whole Binh Phuoc province (old) with a total score of 29.0 (Literature 9.25; History 10; Geography 9.75).
