When the goal of sustainable development is inevitable, enterprises need to change their mindset and build their own green development strategy to integrate. In addition, to support enterprises in transformation, the vision, thinking, and legal framework for development policies also need to be improved.
Green development efforts
A company specializing in providing factory construction solutions for partners and enterprises in the province, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GSB Steel Structure Joint Stock Company (located in Tan Trieu Ward) Nguyen Tan Loc said: For industrial projects, steel components account for a significant proportion of construction materials and are an important factor affecting the "greenness" of the project. In the trend of sustainable development, the company always strives to find the most optimal construction solutions, both minimizing costs for partners and aiming to create sustainable, environmentally friendly projects. GSB has cooperated with many partners, including partners from Australia, to create projects and factories that optimize energy use, better meeting the green development goals that each enterprise as well as the Government is aiming for.
In the logistics sector, green development is also a criterion that many enterprises pursue to improve their ability to adapt to the requirements of their partners. Mekong Logistics Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien Ward) has 50 partners, most of whom are foreign partners in the industrial park.
According to Ms. Dang Thi Bich Loan, Director of the company, cooperation with major partners helps the company accumulate experience, innovate working processes, apply 4.0 technology to operations and service provision. From there, Mekong is more confident in investing, aiming for green, high-quality logistics services, expanding scale and service capacity.
Similarly, although it is a new start-up, Mr. Cong's Coffee Shop (Long Khanh Ward) has made a very high commitment to its products from the beginning. Owner Le Thanh Cong said: Commitment
The “4 no’s” of Mr. Cong’s organic coffee are no flavoring, no coloring, no additives and no preservatives. Accordingly, we focus on modern roasting and grinding processes to produce quality products, while developing product designs according to OCOP standards to better reach customers.
Dong Nai has a large community of small and medium enterprises. With its central connecting role, the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association encourages member enterprises to move towards sustainable development. The Association always strives to act as a bridge to create forums and programs for enterprises to connect, cooperate and develop together, especially in the fields of production, export and supporting industry.
Mr. DANG QUOC NGHI, Chairman of Dong Nai Province Young Entrepreneurs Association
Multi-pronged approach to transformation
In Vietnam in general and in Dong Nai in particular, small and medium enterprises make up the majority, so how to effectively participate in the sustainable race is extremely important. Experts say that in order for the green transformation of enterprises to take place effectively and substantially, it is necessary to urgently implement the national strategy on green growth; perfect the legal framework and mobilize resources for green credit; credit institutions increase lending capital for innovative enterprises, small and medium enterprises. Effectively implement credit guarantee funds so that small and medium enterprises can access and serve their green development goals.
Investing in modern machinery and technology is the solution for sustainable business development. |
On the part of enterprises, it is necessary to proactively practice green governance, aiming to create products that have an impact on society as well as the environment. In addition to efforts to access green financial capital from domestic and international financial institutions, business owners also need to flexibly innovate their thinking and proactively seek green financial sources in the market. For example, wood production and processing is an industry with natural materials, so the requirement for sustainable development is a top priority, especially in serving the high standards of the export market.
According to Vice President of Dong Nai Wood and Handicraft Association (Dowa), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tan Vinh Cuu Joint Stock Company (Long Binh Ward) Vo Quang Ha, currently, not only investing in machinery and technology, Dong Nai wood industry wants to become a pioneer in building an ecosystem for sustainable wood production. Dowa is making efforts to connect and cooperate between organizations, forest growers and manufacturers, enterprises to create a closed chain from forest planting to production and product consumption. At the same time, Dowa also cooperates with international corporations, enterprises, and organizations to approach and apply green development programs in the production of association members.
